Printout goes design-y

The next Printout will be taking place on Thursday 1 March, and we’re ringing the changes.

First of all, we’ve heard enough from the words people so this will be the first Printout dedicated to design. We’ve got Paul Willoughby from Little White Lies, Rob Lowe (aka Supermundane) from Anorak, Cagoule and Fire & Knives, and Chris Harrison from Wrap. Each will be speaking about a particular aspect of the design of their magazines, and showing a collection of images to illustrate their talks.

But the changes don’t end there. The magazine library has always proven popular in the past, but the problem is that if you see something you like you can’t take it home with you afterwards. So this time we’re going to hold the first Printout magazine swap – we’re asking everyone to bring a magazine with them that they think is worth a good read. The magazines will all be laid out (we’ll be bringing a collection of our own) and after the talks everyone will get to choose one magazine to take away with them.

One criticism of Printout in the past is that it has been just a bit too crammed, so this time we’re limiting the night to 100 tickets. They went on sale yesterday and are going well, so if you’d like to come along make sure you book your place!
