Until now these videos have focused on purely editorial projects, but this week I’m taking a slightly different perspective by reviewing Pica-Post, a marketing piece produced by Manchester’s Oi Polloi clothes shop. (In the video I call them a “posh” clothes shop, which on reflection probably isn’t quite right – “smart” is probably a better fit)

They have a long history of being involved with independent publishing in the northwest, and Pica-Post is their own magazine / brochure. Borrowing heavily from the vernacular of zines, it does a fantastic job of communicating the brand’s values in a rebellious, self-aware, somehow Mancunian tone of voice that is entirely its own.

Good work all round.
