Update

Just a few days left now for the Stack Christmas Cover Challenge – if you’ve been working on a design, remember we need to have it in by 12pm on Thursday in time for final judging.

We’ve had some fantastic entries, so following last Monday’s one-week update, here are five of our favourites received in the last seven days.

05. Merry minimalism
I love the simplicity of this design by Stephen Liddell, referencing the minimalist issue of IdN sent out by Stack earlier this year.

04. Sound of Christmas
If The Wire ever dedicated an issue to the festive efforts of Slade, The Pogues, etc, this is what it would look like. Great work by Ollie Hoff.

03. Screen Santa
Max Randall’s tribute to the classic Little White Lies cover portrait focuses on everyone’s favourite festive leading man.

02. Sports Santa
And here’s the big man again, looking leaner and altogether more sophisticated on the cover of Victory as imagined by Farhan Mahmud.

01. Cycling Santa
But I think my favourite of this week’s Father Christmases is this one by Stella Murphy, tootling around the streets of London on the cover of Huck. Watch out for the announcement of the overall winner on Friday, and if you still haven’t sent your finished design over, get cracking!
