Art & design

Fireflies magazine bills itself as “a print film magazine created between Berlin and Melbourne”, and the result is a pleasingly placeless magazine that devotes itself to the art of cinema.

For this second issue they explore the work of Abbas Kiarostami and Béla Tarr, and it’s testament to the quality of the magazine that I really enjoyed it without really knowing anything about those directors’ work. (If anyone can help me figure out what the suicidal ant colony is about, it would be much appreciated.)
