The latest issue of Weapons of Reason focuses on the subject of inequality, using a series of filters to explore the many ways in which people’s lives and opportunities can be unevenly limited. Moving from the personal to the structural, the stories gathered here show how different types of inequality make themselves felt in different ways, focusing for example on variables like sexuality and disability, while also zooming out to consider the broader pressures of the new gig economy, or compiling data to show how climate change is going to affect some people much more severely than others.

It doesn’t make for the most cheerful reading, but it’s powerful and direct, and provides an accessible overview of some of the most pressing challenges facing us today. Take a look at the video above for a brief flick through some of the stories, but as always this is one you really need to hold in your hands to properly appreciate, so if you want to see more of this magazine, head over to the Stack shop to buy one for yourself…
