An Australian antidote to the “junk food” that fills our minds on a daily basis, New Philosopher is a quarterly magazine that brings together heavyweight thinkers to discuss the big issues of the day.

We love it when a magazine makes good on big ambitions, and in his Stack interview, editor Zan Boag doesn’t pull any punches in explaining the motivation behind the magazine: “Ever since the rise of magazines in the 1800s, thinkers from Dickens to Orwell have written magazine articles to challenge the status quo and critically analyse the direction in which society is heading. We aim to continue that tradition by publishing essays from leading writers and philosophers.”

As you can imagine, it makes for a thought-provoking read, and we can’t wait to send this Aussie import out to Stack subscribers. If you want to be one of those readers, sign up to Stack and we’ll take care of the rest – take a look at our other magazines to see the sort of surprises you can expect to receive.
