File for free
It’s been ages since I saw a copy of File, so I was surprised to see that the current issue doesn’t come bundled with a DVD of short films to accompany the magazine. At first I thought they’d canned the idea of curating film altogether, and had decided to settle for writing about it instead.
But that’s not the case. They’re still showing films, but now they put them all up online. And even better, they’re making it all free to anyone who registers on the site.
They’ve only just started but there’s already absolutely loads up there, including a new monthly “screening” of short films, interviews, documentaries and more. Perfect if you want something to watch today that doesn’t involve the royal wedding.
