I can’t believe we haven’t done this one before.

Fashion magazines are everywhere, and they’re guaranteed to divide opinion. They’re either too stupid or too highbrow, too commercial or too artsy, too sexy or too staid, too boring or too controversial. Of course the majority of these magazines are published by the big guns and come laden with advertising and advertiser-friendly editorial, but there are some really great independents out there at the moment too.

So on Tuesday 28 January we’re bringing some of our favourites together for the first Printout fashion special. Rather than having our guests show presentations we’re going to host a panel discussion, encouraging them to debate with one another and shed some light on why fashion publishing is so important, and so divisive. And of course we’ll leave plenty of time for questions at the end, not to mention the usual drinks and music when you’ll be able to button hole our guests.

We’ve got a great panel in place, representing very different forms of independent fashion publishing:

Anja Aronowsky Cronberg is editor-in-chief of Paris-based Vestoj
Johannes Reponen is founder of fashion journal Address
John Holt is editor of LAW, the fashion magazine that believes style is everywhere
Kenny Ho is the stylist and editor behind the immaculately turned out Article

Tickets cost £5.95 from printoutfashion.eventbrite.co.uk – I hope you’ll join us for what should be a fantastic night.
