Stack at home: Elementum, May 2019
Our May 2019 delivery was Elementum, published in Dorset and very much a product of the English countryside. Dedicating its pages to stories about nature, landscape and “deep time”, it’s environmental without being political, and spiritual without being religious.
Previous editions have focussed on the history, mythology, flora and fauna of Ireland and England, and while native influences remain strong in this latest issue, they’re also joined by reflections from New Guinea, Mauritius, and Hawaii. The overriding message of this more global Elementum is that while cultural differences undoubtedly exist across time and space, the deeper experience remains the same.
