I want to subscribe

Magazines – How do I know which ones I’ll get?

Each Stack delivery is a surprise, so there’s no way of knowing which magazines you’ll receive. But we can guarantee they’ll be top quality – take a look at the Stack roster to see for yourself.

Gifts – Can I buy Stack for somebody else?

It’s easy to buy Stack as a gift. Simply go to the subscribe page and choose the option that’s right for you, then on the checkout page let us know that you’re buying a gift. If necessary you can enter a different billing address to the shipping address, and at the end of the process we’ll give you a selection of gift cards to choose from.

Confirmation – How do I know my subscription is live?

You will receive a confirmation email from us within 24 hours of your subscription, with all the details of your subscription and a link to the customer portal, allowing you to check and update your information.

Overseas – Do you offer international delivery?

We can deliver magazines to you anywhere in the world. Just select your country from the drop down menu when you subscribe and we’ll update the prices so you can see exactly how much the subscription will cost.

Coronavirus update, 29 May 2020: Royal Mail have advised that due to breakdown of international services, they will be unable to deliver to the following countries until further notice: Azerbaijan, Botswana, Cuba, Haiti, Iraq, Kosovo, Mauritania, Mauritius, Nepal, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, Venezuela, Zambia. We’re very sorry that we’ve had to stop accepting subscriptions from those countries, and of course we’ll resume service as soon as the advice changes.

Delivery times – When will my magazines arrive?

National postal services are currently being affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The majority of our customers are receiving their magazines in just a few days, but the following delivery times are based on the worst case reports we’ve received:

UK – two to 15 working days after posting
Europe – five to 20 working days after posting
US – five to 60 working days after posting (see note below)
ROW – five to 40 working days after posting (see note below)

Please note that lack of availability on flights means that mail to the following countries is being sent via boat, leading to delays of six to eight weeks:

Australia
Brazil
Canada
Japan
South Africa
South Korea

Lack of availability on transatlantic flights means that mail sent to the US is also being sent by boat, leading to delays of two to 12 weeks.

If you have already waited longer than the worst case delivery times outlined above, please contact our support team to request a replacement delivery.

Payment – What payment options do you offer?

We can take payment in sterling, dollars and euros via credit or debit card on our secure payment page.

Opting out – What if I don’t want to receive some magazines?

We know that some people might not want to receive all the Stack titles, so it’s easy to opt out. For example, if you already subscribe to one of the Stack magazines, just email us to let us know and we’ll make sure we send you an alternative title. We recommend that you opt out of a maximum of two titles in order to enjoy the full Stack surprise.

Pausing – What if I want to pause my Stack subscription?

It’s easy to pause your Stack subscription – ideal if you’re going to be travelling for an extended period or otherwise unable to receive your magazines. Just email us stating your name and address, and your reason for pausing, and we’ll set your subscription to paused. You will not pay anything while your subscription is paused and we’ll keep your magazines safe, so when you resume you won’t have missed out on any deliveries.

Cancellation – What if I want to end my Stack subscription?

A Stack subscription is entirely risk free – to cancel it at any time just email us stating your name and address, and your reason for cancelling. Any deliveries paid for but not yet sent out by Stack will be refunded.

Payments – How will Stack appear on my bank statement?

Payments to Stack will appear on your statement as Stack Magazines.

Renewals – How do I renew my subscription?

You can renew your subscription online at any time. Simply sign in using your email address and password, or if you don’t have an account set up, you can register using the email address associated with your subscription. Alternatively, just email us and we’ll be happy to help.

Changing address – How do I update my address details?

You can amend your delivery details online. Simply sign in using your email address and password, or if you don’t have an account set up, you can register using the email address associated with your subscription. Alternatively, just email us and we’ll be happy to help.

Offers – How can I find out about new offers and products?

You can subscribe to the shop mailing list here to be the first to know about new magazines and exclusive offers, plus get 10% off your first order. You can also follow us on Instagram to get selected updates on new products.

Subscriptions – Can I subscribe to the shop?

No — the shop is intended as a quick and easy way to buy the world’s best independent magazines with no commitments. If you’d like to buy magazines by subscription, take a look at our Stack monthly subscription service.

Login – Why can’t I log in to the shop?

Our subscriptions service and shop each run on their own platforms. If you’re a Stack subscriber you can log in to your account via the customer portal. If you are a shop customer you can log in to your shop account or check out as a guest.

Gifts – Can I buy a magazine for somebody else?

You certainly can. If you’d like to send a magazine as a gift, simply enter your gift recipient’s name and shipping address at checkout and we’ll send the magazine directly to them.

Confirmation – How do I know my purchase has been completed?

You will receive a confirmation email from us soon after we receive your payment, with all the details of your order. If you’re unsure whether or not your order has been processed, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Delivery costs – How much will delivery cost?

We base delivery on the weight of your order to help keep the costs to a minimum. To see how much delivery will cost, please add the magazines you’d like to purchase to your cart and enter your country at checkout.

Tracked shipping – Do you offer tracked shipping?

In order to keep prices down we don’t offer tracked shipping just yet (we’re working on it!)

Damage – What can I do if my magazine was damaged in transit?

If your magazine was damaged in transit, please send a photo to our support team and we’ll arrange for a replacement.

Payment – What payment options do you offer?

We take payment in sterling via debit card, credit card or PayPal.

Students – Do you offer a student discount?

Yes! Students can get 10% off magazines in the shop. Just email us with proof of your student status to receive the code.

Distribution – How can I have my magazine considered for Stack?

We’re always looking for new magazines to add to the Stack selection. If you’d like to have your magazine considered for Stack, please send a copy to us at Stack, Room S87 New Wing, Somerset House, London WC2R 1LA.

Internships – Do you take work experience placements?

Not currently – if that changes at any point in the future we’ll announce it on the Stack blog.

Events – Where can I find information about upcoming events?
