Magazine Club: Little White Lies
We delivered the Decision to Leave issue of Little White Lies to Stack subscribers in September this year, and at the end of October editor David Jenkins joined us to talk about the making of the magazine. Little White Lies was one of the first independent magazines I really fell in love with, so it was great to catch up with him again and hear his thoughts on the changing face of both cinema and independent print publishing.
Take a look at the video below for a recording of the conversation – I particularly enjoyed his stories about difficult celebrities and his experiences working with the promoters and publicists who have to deal with them. (But I’m glad that’s not part of my working week.) And it was really interesting to hear him outlining the ways in which the internet has changed the coverage of movies in the press, and what that means for a small magazine like Little White Lies.
If you haven’t seen this one yet you can pick up a copy of the magazine in our online shop, or better still, why not subscribe to Stack? We deliver a different independent magazine every month to thousands of people around the world – you never know what you’re going to get next, but you do know it will be a print treat along the same sort of lines as Little White Lies. I hope you’ll join our independent magazine club…
