A vine’s eye view of Portuguese wine in Above Sea Level magazine

Untitled-1

Setting off to a different destination each issue, Above Sea Level magazine shows the people and places that create some of the greatest wines you’ve never heard of. The first issue focused on California, and this latest issue takes a trip through Portugal, exploring the nation’s vineyards from north to south (plus a couple of islands thrown in for good measure).

Photography is particularly important to their storytelling, and as you’ll see in the video above, the new issue combines characterful portraits, beautiful landscapes, and brilliantly gruesome still life photos to create a distinctive and enticing picture of Portugal and its wines.
