MITT magazine finds sartorially-excelling, interesting individuals around the world. Take Hillvale, a Melbourne photo lab featured in their latest issue, which lets photographers drop off analogue film anonymously in designated boxes through the city, and receive a Dropbox link of their developed images a few days later.

Or Ali Asghar Shah, who shares his love story with perfumes, giving thanks to his “genetically endowed, particularly large pair of nostrils.” Curious to find out more about the inspirations behind this issue, we got in touch with editor Giuseppe Santamaria.

In the making of this issue I…

Ate/Drank…
Formed a coffee addiction with long blacks and added an inch or two to my waist with Montreal style bagels from the bagelry featured in the issue, which is just across the street from where I live.

Depended on…
My Nikon D750 and MacBook Pro, my life really.

Bought…
A 10 week class to “Introduction to Studio Lighting”. I’m a natural light kind of photographer, the idea of studio lighting scares me, so I’m diving in.

Worked from…
The MITT Mrkt. pop-up on Oxford Street in Sydney. I put together the issue live in-store over two weeks, customers and readers got to see the process and share feedback. I also got to take still lives and portraits for some of the features.

Met…
Ali Asghar Shah, the writer of my favourite feature in this issue, The Nose, at an event at The MITT Mrkt pop-up.

Was amazed by…
How relatively smoothly the issue came together, it all seemed very organic and just fell into place.

Couldn’t stop laughing at…
Jacques Grosz’s comments in the issue stating that people in Paris have no style. He tells it how he sees it in a very candid profile on the Instagram famous, vintage denim aficionado.

Lost sleep over…
Upping the number of copies printed due to demand, which of course means more money.

Listened to…
The Hamilton soundtrack was on repeat and kept me motivated…you may see references in the magazine.

And everyone should buy a copy because…
The magazine shares stories of how men around the world are living their lives and learning the fact that there is no one way of being a man.
