I picked up The Happy Reader last week and was instantly won over. A quality magazine for £3? When was the last time you saw one of those?

Made as a collaboration between Fantastic Man and Penguin Books, there’s a lot of good stuff to say about this magazine, but probably the greatest praise is that it really made me want to read The Woman in White, this issue’s main featured novel. And when I’ve finished that I’ll make a start on The Book of Tea, the focus of the next issue, out in the Spring.
