Published in Turkey and with a long list of contributors from across the Middle East and far beyond, Year Zero presents a hugely varied selection of underground music, fashion, art and more. This issue is themed ‘process’, deconstructing the concept into six different stages that are visualised on the contents page as a sort of lunatic venn diagram, showing the relationships between different stories in a series of ellipses that are themselves suggestive of big zeros sprawling across the pages. The message here is clear — there is no beginning and there is no end; there is just the process, so surrender yourself to it and see where it takes you.

What is Year Zero?
Year Zero is an Istanbul-based independent platform, founded in 2018 to examine emerging global subcultures.
