There’s an accidental theme running through our video reviews at the moment. Last week we featured Pit, the great new food magazine dedicated to all things barbecue-based, and this week we’re turning to Loupe, a photography title that takes a fresh look at image making. The subject matter of the two magazines is poles apart, but the production is strikingly similar; both of them punch well above their weight as small, saddle stitched, unassuming magazines that push their quality content to the fore.

Loupe is printed on improved newsprint, and it’s an absolute bargain at just £3. Take a look at the video below for a better idea of what it’s all about, and if you like what you see, buy a copy direct from the publisher now – a quick look at the back issues will tell you that this fourth issue is likely to sell out fast.
