Video review: Gym Class magazine

Video reviews
  • 29.5cm x 21cm
  • Published in London, 2015

The original magazine lover’s magazine, Gym Class published its last issue in 2016, and this issue hit the shelves in March that year, reporting from the front lines of quality publishing.

The magazine was always driven by the passion and dedication of its founder Steven Gregor, but it also called on the great and good of both independent and mainstream magazine publishing. This issue that means interviews with Jake Silverstein (The New York Times Magazine), Ibrahim Nehme (The Outpost) and Bhaskar Sunkara (Jacobin), and essays by Johnny Davis (British Esquire), Kevin Braddock (Manzine) and Greg Williams (Wired UK).

In this issue:

  • Inside the new women’s magazines
  • The role of magazine covers in the digital age
  • How magazines influence and define their readers
  • The rise (and rise) of male nudity in magazines
  • Award-winning editorial photography
