Isolarii seeks to revive a Renaissance genre of the same name. Each issue is conceived as an ‘island’; a world unto itself. This issue, entitled ‘Modern Animal’, is by Yevgenia Belorusets, and includes a cycle of lectures on the modern lives of animals.

- Retelling interviews, folktales, memories, and visions of the people — bourgeois, urban, rural, Roma, working class — encountered on a multi-year journey through Ukraine
