We’re really keen to take Printout outside London in 2014. It’s way too easy to stay in the cosy streets of Shoreditch and let publishers come to us, but there are really interesting projects happening all over the country and I think we’d be missing out on something by not exploring further. So I was very interested to hear about BIP, a new organisation run by and for Bristol’s independent publishers.

Bristol is home to way more than its fair share of great independent magazines – there’s Cereal, Off Life, Boneshaker, Lionheart, Loaf, Paper, Another Escape and Vignette to name just a few, so it makes sense the city should have its own independent publishing night. Their first get together is next Friday (6 December) at Roll For The Soul, 2 Quay Street, and I’m currently trying to juggle things around to make sure I can be there.

If you’re in the area you should definitely check it out…
