Cover countdown 2015: August

Our Twitter and Instagram accounts were swamped yesterday with watermelon and elephant emojis, as people made it clear that their favourite cover from July was Elephant’s fine summer issue. Congratulations to the Elephant team – they’ll be back for the final vote on 23 December.

And congratulations also to Ruth Irvine, who won a year’s subscription to Stack with a heartwarming message about how much Elephant means to her:
