If you follow the Stack Instagram feed, you’ll know that most mornings we post a picture of a cover that has caught our eye. It’s a brilliant way to get a sense of which magazine covers are really catching people’s imaginations, with the most Instagram likes roughly equating to the most popular covers. But which ones have been top dogs in 2015?

Every day between now and 22 December we’ll publish the top three covers from each month, according to Instagram likes, and ask you to vote for your favourite. Tweet us with your choice each day, and you could win yourself a free year’s subscription to Stack (the funnier / weirder / more heartfelt your message, the better).

Voting closes at midnight GMT each day, with the winning magazine and the winning tweet both announced on the following day’s blog post. Stick with us until 23 December and we’ll run through all the top covers from each month to name an overall ‘People’s Cover of 2015’.

So here we go! Take a look below at the three covers from January and send us a tweet with the name of your favourite…

Another lovely cover from French graphics magazine Kiblind – not sure whether they're flying or falling, but they don't seem to mind either way.

Just so cool. The new issue of @eyemagazine_ gives another masterclass in creative cropping to turn a detail from a vintage Wrigley’s ad into a beautiful cover. Minty fresh.

Picked up from Printout last night, issue one of @theholborn – a magazine dedicated to the well made, whether that means cocktails, furniture or clothes.
