Update

One of our goals at Stack is to help inspire and inform people who are thinking of publishing their own independent magazines, so we’re excited to share the news of an event coming up at Somerset House on Saturday 26 November.

We’ve invited speakers from six magazines shortlisted in this year’s Launch of the Year category to present an afternoon of talks about their experiences of starting their own magazines. The line up includes some of our favourite new magazines published out of London, as well as a rare opportunity to hear from the women behind 212 (Istanbul) and Yuca (Bogota). They’re only going to be in town for a few days, so don’t miss out!

We’ll also have every magazine shortlisted across every category in this year’s Stack awards, on display in our pop-up magazine library. The library is free to access, but tickets to hear from the speakers cost £5.90 and they’re on sale now, so reserve your spot and join us for a whole afternoon of magazine fun.

All the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Refugee Action, the charity working with refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.
