Update

I’m running a bit late this morning due to some last minute childcare reshuffles, but I’ve now deposited the child with grandparents and found wifi in Metroland and I’m able to announce the winner of yesterday’s vote.

And boy was it close. The three fantastic covers attracted a lot of interest, and Suitcase and No Brainer both mobilised their supporters in an epic battle of Twitter votes, but come the 6pm cutoff it was No Brainer that emerged as the overall winner. Congratulations to them, and to Edwinn Sitt, winner of the free year’s subscription to Stack.

I should say that he wasn’t chosen at random. I was touched by the idea that a virgin tweet had been posted in support of Suitcase, so that has become the new rule: a winner will be chosen every day, based on whatever catches my eye. Make me laugh, cry or smile in quiet appreciation and the subscription could be yours.

But now, to the March vote. We’ve got three more fantastic magazines on show – take a look at the line up below and tweet your vote with the hashtag #cover2014 by 6pm, then check back tomorrow morning and we’ll announce the winners. Go!

Volume five of @cerealmag, picked up from yesterday's launch breakfast. Love the hazy, Eiffel-free cover shot of Paris.

It's here! My subscriber copy of The Gentlewoman finally arrived yesterday, showing exactly how the wry half smile should be done

Another one from last night's Printout – @dg_quarterly kicks things up a gear with its strongest cover yet.
