I find it hard to believe, but it’s almost three years since we took Printout up to Manchester for its first and only non-London event.

So I’m very grateful to Dan at Bristol Independent Publishers for giving us the encouragement to break out of East London once again and head over to his home city. Bristol is a real hotbed of independent publishing at the moment, and on 8 May we’ll be bringing together four of its best publishers to talk from a local perspective about their globally respected magazines.

It should be a fantastic night, with Rosa from Cereal, Rachel from Another Escape, Mike from Boneshaker and of course Dan talking about his own Off Life, plus piles of magazines on display from the region’s other publishing talent.

It’s happening at The Crofters Rights (which I’m told sells good beer) and we’re very pleased to be organising the night as part of Bristol Festival of Ideas.

Tickets are on sale now for £5.95 and Jeremy and I are massively excited about seeing Bristol’s independent scene first hand, so if you’re going to be in the area, come down and join in.
