So what exactly can you expect to see?

Pylot
A must-read magazine for anyone interested in photography, Pylot only uses analogue photography, taking a brilliantly inventive approach that mixes the old and the new.

When I interviewed him for the Stack blog a few weeks ago, editor-in-chief Max Barnett explained that a big part of his motivation was in showing the huge potential of analogue photography. According to him, analogue is often associated with “a specific style of indie photography”, but Pylot is anything but predictable.

His talk will focus on the wide range of photographic styles in the magazine, and why he thinks it’s worth taking the time to get the right shot, in-camera.

Brewster
They’re based in Australia, so Brewster‘s creators won’t be able to join us live on the night, but they’re creating a special video for us that shows off the incredible effects of their time-travelling magazine.

Created by turning archive stereoscopic photography into modern 3D images, Brewster literally brings the past into three dimensions and creative director Filip Bartkowiak has promised that his video will do the same, while also revealing the secrets of his 3D process.

We’re also shipping a selection of special prizes over from Australia for audience members to win on the night – your only chance to lay your hands on Brewster’s very limited print goodness in the northern hemisphere.

We Are Here
Smartphones have changed photography forever, and We Are Here uses their compact power to great effect.

The entire magazine is shot using an iPhone, giving it an incredibly personal aesthetic and allowing creator Conor Purcell unprecedented flexibility.

Working within the iPhone’s constraints encourages Conor to create simple but striking layouts, and he’s travelling from Dublin to be with us on the night to talk about how and why he insists on using his phone over a conventional camera.
