Literature Photography Update

As the hot sun beats down ruthlessly in London, we’re escaping to our favourite, shady outdoor spots for some quality reading. And delivering Still magazine to Stack subscribers last month felt as timely as ever. Showcasing surrealist photography and delightfully inventive creative writing, readers around the world got lost in their masterful curation and elegantly pared-back presentation.

Below are some of our favourite responses sent in from Stack readers around the world (find them all on a designated Pinterest board too), and right at the bottom, you’ll find our June subscriber of the month…

6. Phew
Magazine reading = de-stressing.

Perfect start to my first relaxed weekend in about 2 years…

5. Mmmmmmonochrome
A nice pic from a Berlin subscriber highlighting Still’s striking minimal cover by Maximilian Mauracher.

Mmmmmmonochrome. New via @stackmagazines is the gorgeous @still.magazine Out of Berlin/NY. Seems to be full of ace words and pictures, and designed by Alexander Fuchs. When he’s not playing for 1 FC Nurnberg I guess. Little joke there for the all the German second division fans. #magazine #magazines #magazinedesign #magazinecover #cover #coverdesign #design #editorialdesign #editorial #graphicdesign #bundesliga #helvetica

3. [Insert still]
There’s a fun creative writing exercise on the back cover, where you can insert the name of the magazine in the gaps of the poem.

2. Strong type game
Thanks for the detailed review Miles 🙂

A beautiful #magazine delivered by @stackmagazines this month. @still.magazine contains creative writing, #contemporary poems, beautiful imagery all supported with a sans #typeface very suited to the content. Strongly recommend if you like your #print #poetry #creativewriting #photography and just general #graphicdesign
