It’s not often that Stack events happen outside Europe, so I’m really excited that I’ll be in San Francisco on the 5th and 6th of November for Issues, a two-day independent magazine pop-up at DOG, 428 Waller Street. We’re going to be selling a wide range of Stack magazines over the weekend, so drop in and stock up on some of the fantastic independents you might not have come across if you’re not already a Stack subscriber.

And on the Saturday evening I’ll be hosting a panel discussion with three West Coast publishers, finding out how and why they do what they do. We’ve got Anja Charbonneau, editor of Broccoli; Victor Gonzalez, editor of Grøss; and Michael Ray, editor of Zoetrope: All-Story. They’re very different magazines and I’m really looking forward to hearing them speak about their different experiences of publishing, and particularly how they think their location on the West Coast has affected what they do.

They will also be selling their magazines and merchandise, so if you’re going to be anywhere near San Francisco please come and join us – tickets are free but space is limited so please book ahead to make sure you have a place.
